9 Can’t-Put-Down Music Memoirs of 2022

Public Enemy and Ice-T have been tapped to headline The National Celebration of Hip Hop in Washington, D.C. The event will take place on Oct. 6 and 7 at West Potomac Park on the National Mall in Washington D.C. Admission to the event is free with registration, which opens today.

DJ Hurricane will host a Beastie Boys tribute set with special guests (Hurricane was with the group from Paul’s Boutique before exiting ahead of Hello Nasty). Kurtis Blow, Kid ‘n Play, CL Smooth, Melle Mel and Scorpio, and The Sugarhill Gang are among the hip hop legends who will also perform that weekend.
