- the warm water bottle cover: To start with, cut out the template and pin to the mustard wool felt. Then cut out one front and among each of the back pieces.
- For the two back pieces, turn the edges with the dashed lines under by 1cm and after that another 1cm to create a double hem. Pin and topstitch in place with matching sewing thread. Blanket stitch over the stitched edges with 6 strands of white embroidery thread and an embroidery needle.
- Next, develop the personalised letter on the front by either drawing your letter onto a paper with a pencil or print it out on a computer system. Cut out the letter theme, pin to the white wool felt, and eliminated around the paper.
- Pin the letter in the centre of the front hot water bottle piece and blanket stitch around the edge to secure. Additionally, if you’re brief on time, you can constantly use a zigzag sew on your sewing device to stitch the appliqué in place.
- Then pin the front hot water bottle piece to the back pieces with best sides together and pin all the method around the edge, making sure the two back pieces overlap to form the opening. Stitch the pieces together with a 1cm seam allowance. Clip into the curves, turn best sides out and press.
- Utilizing 6 hairs of white embroidery thread and embroidery needle, blanket sew all the way around the edge of the hot water bottle to end up.
