On Aug. 14, a grand jury issued an indictment accusing former President Donald Trump of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia after he lost to President Joe Biden — marking his fourth criminal indictment in a matter of months. The charges — including felony racketeering as well as multiple conspiracy claims — were brought by Georgia’s Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Eighteen of the Republican presidential nominee frontrunner’s allies and associates, including attorneys Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman plus White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, were also indicted in the probe of alleged attempts to subvert the 2020 election results.
